The Celtics star hit the automatic ejection criteria under NBA rules just after he had hit 8 points and 7 assists. It stemmed from Brown appearing to lose his composure during a heated exchange with the referees, resulting in back-to-back technical fouls and an automatic ejection under NBA rules.

On the opposite side of the ball, the Spurs are a true story this season, rising to the top of the league standings behind Victor Wembanyama. On the night, he's been dominant for San Antonio, posting 29 points and 8 rebounds while shooting 6-of-12 from three-point range. Support from De'Aaron Fox has also furthered the Spurs' lead, who has complemented him with 18 points and a game-high 8 assists.

Fortunately for the Celtics, Derrick White stepped to the plate to keep the Celtics in the game. White leads all scorers with 32 points on 11-of-20 shooting, adding 5 assists and 4 rebounds.

The Spurs outscored Boston 39-32 in the third quarter to push their lead to seven heading into the fourth.
